Efektivitas Penerapan Zona Selamat Sekolah (ZoSS) Pada Kawasan SDN 005 Babakan Ciparay

Abstract

Zona Selamat Sekolah (ZoSS) aimed to enhance the safety and convenience of pedestrians and vehicle operators traversing the school zone. This study aimed to evaluate the completeness of ZoSS infrastructure in front of SDN 005 Babakan Ciparay by observing the behaviour of students traversing the road, the behaviour of drivers, and the spot speed of vehicles within ZoSS. This study employed descriptive and statistical methods. This Z-test analysis compared the Z-value and Z-table with a 5% error rate. The study’s findings demonstrated that the application of student drivers behaviour yielded Z-value = 3,169 ≥ Z-table = -1,96 (Safe), students’ behavior crossing the road yielded Z-value = -1,451 ≥ Z-table = -1,96 (Safe), and the vehicle’s spot speed was relatively safe since the average speed was below 30 kilometres per hour. However, the equipment of ZoSS facilities did not satisfy the demand for normative provisions. Keywords: ZoSS, Pedestrians and Drivers Behavior, Spot Speed, Infrastructure

Abstrak
Zona Selamat Sekolah (ZoSS) bertujuan untuk meningkatkan keselamatan dan kenyamanan pejalan kaki maupun pengguna kendaraan yang melintas di daerah sekolah. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah mengamati perilaku penyeberang, perilaku pengantar, kecepatan sesaat kendaraan yang berada di area ZoSS, serta mengevaluasi kelengkapan prasarana ZoSS di depan SDN 005 Babakan Ciparay. Metode yang digunakan pada penelitian ini bersifat deskriptif dan statistik. Analisis Uji Z ini membandingkan nilai Zhitung dan Ztabel dengan tingkat kesalahan 5%. Berdasarkan hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa dengan penerapan ZoSS, perilaku pengantar diperoleh nilai Zhitung = 3,169 ≥ Ztabel = -1,96 (Aman), perilaku siswa saat menyeberangi jalan diperoleh nilai Zhitung = -1,451 ≥ Ztabel = -1,96 (Aman), dan kecepatan sesaat kendaraan saat melalui ZoSS relatif aman karena kecepatan rata-rata di bawah 30 km/jam. Namun demikian secara faktual kelengkapan fasilitas ZoSS, masih belum memenuhi ketentuan normatif.
