Abstract

Creative agency is one of the companies engaged in the creative economy to provide services in making creative strategies that can help clients from various fields. Creative agencies have many parts that play an important role in the progress of the agency company itself, one of the most important roles is the role of graphic designer workers. Graphic designers who work in creative agencies do not only work to design an object, but graphic designers must be able to make problem solving for the given work accurately and quickly. Graphic designers must also be able to determine the message they want to convey through a design so that the message can be conveyed properly. In addition to requiring technical skills, non-technical skills are also one of the important things in the world of work because when in the world of work you will need other people to complete the work given by the agency company. Even so, many visual communication design (DKV) students do not have sufficient knowledge and understanding of creative agencies and graphic designers and only rely on technical skills when they enter the world of work in creative agencies. This can cause DKV students to experience difficulties when working due to lack of knowledge and understanding of their role as graphic designers and will find it difficult to adapt themselves to the existing culture in the company. Therefore we need the right information media to provide knowledge and understanding of creative agencies and graphic designers to DKV students through social media that is easily accessible anytime and anywhere. With this information media, it is hoped that it can help DKV students in preparing themselves to face the world of work in creative agencies.

Abstrak. Agensi kreatif merupakan salah satu perusahaan yang bergerak di bidang ekonomi kreatif untuk menyediakan layanan dalam membuat strategi kreatif yang dapat membantu klien dari beragam bidang. Agensi kreatif memiliki banyak bagian yang berperan penting dalam kemajuan perusahaan agensi itu sendiri, salah satu peran yang terpenting adalah peran dari pekerja desainer grafis. Desainer grafis yang bekerja di agensi kreatif tidak hanya bekerja untuk mendesain suatu objek, melainkan desainer grafis harus dapat membuat penyelesaian masalah terhadap pekerjaan yang diberikan dengan tepat dan cepat. Desainer grafis juga harus dapat menentukan pesan yang ingin dibawakan melalui sebuah desain agar pesan tersebut dapat tersampaikan secara baik. Selain membutuhkan keterampilan teknis, keterampilan nonteknis juga menjadi salah satu hal penting di dunia kerja karena ketika di dunia kerja akan membutuhkan orang lain untuk menyelesaikan pekerjaan yang diberikan perusahaan agensi. Meskipun begitu, banyak mahasiswa desain komunikasi visual (DKV) yang tidak memiliki pengetahuan dan pemahaman yang cukup mengenai agensi kreatif
dan desainer grafis serta hanya mengandalkan keterampilan teknis ketika mereka akan memasuki dunia kerja di agensi kreatif. Hal ini dapat menyebabkan mahasiswa DKV akan mengalami kesulitan ketika bekerja karena kurangnya pengetahuan dan pemahaman mengenai peran mereka sebagai desainer grafis dan akan kesulitan untuk menyesuaikan diri mereka dengan budaya yang ada di perusahaan. Maka dari itu diperlukan media informasi yang tepat untuk memberikan pengetahuan dan pemahaman mengenai agensi kreatif dan desainer grafis kepada mahasiswa DKV dengan melalui media sosial yang mudah diakses kapan saja dan dimana saja. Dengan adanya media informasi ini diharapkan dapat membantu mahasiswa DKV dalam mempersiapkan diri mereka untuk menghadapi
dunia kerja di agensi kreatif.
