PENERAPAN VISUAL CONNECTION WITH NATURE PADA BANGUNAN ADANU EYE HOSPITAL DI KOTA BANDUNG

Abstract

ABSTRAK
Mata merupakan indera perangsang yang menstimulasi emosi dan pikiran secara visual. Secara pandangan luas, kita merasakan dan memproses hal dari apa yang kita lihat. Maka dari itu kesehatan indera pengelihatan sangat penting untuk kualitas sumber daya manusia dalam meningkatkan kualitas hidup masyarakat. Sesuai dengan Peta Jalan Penanggulangan Gangguan Penglihatan di Indonesia Tahun 2017-2030, ditargetkan distribusi spesialis mata sebesar 1:250.000 penduduk. Perancangan Rumah Sakit khusus mata di Bandung ini diharapkan dapat membantu menanggulangi segala gangguan penyakit mata dan mendukung program penanggulangan gangguan penglihatan mata masyarakat Indonesia. Arsitektur Biofilik dipilih dalam perancangan bangunan ini, dengan penerapan salah satu prinsipnya yaitu Visual Connection with Nature. Tujuan dari Visual Connection with Nature adalah untuk menyediakan lingkungan yang membantu fokus pergeseran individu untuk mengendurkan otot-otot mata dari kesibukan sehari-hari dan emosi negatif dampak dari kegiatan-kegiatan tersebut. Penerapan konsep dalam rancangan dengan menggunakan banyak elemen natural agar pengguna merasa sejuknya tanaman dan memberikan visual yang nyaman agar secara fisik dan fisis pengguna terasa relaks, sehingga bangunan Rumah Sakit ini memiliki tipologi dan desain yang tidak terkesan kaku dan dingin.

ABSTRACT
Eye is a stimulating sense that stimulates emotions and thoughts visually. Broadly speaking, we perceive and process things from what we see. Therefore, the health of the sense of sight is very important for the quality of human resources in improving the quality of people's lives. In accordance with the 2017-2030 Roadmap for the Management of Visual Impairments in Indonesia, the distribution of eye specialists is targeted at 1:250,000 of the Indonesia’s population. The design of this special eye hospital in Bandung is expected to help overcome all eye disease disorders and support the Indonesian people's eye vision disorder prevention program. Biophilic Architecture was chosen in the design of this building, with the application of one of the principles: Visual Connection with Nature. The goal of Visual Connection with Nature is to provide an environment that helps the individual shift focus to relax the eye muscles from their daily activities and the negative emotions that these activities impact. The implementation of the concept in this design is by using many natural elements, so that users feel the coolness of plants and provide comfortable visuals so that physically and psycologicaly the user feels relaxed. By the end, the goal to this hospital building design is a typology and design that does not seem stiff and cold to the users experience.
