PENERAPAN TEMA ETNIK NUSANTARA MODEREN PADA RANCANGAN KHASUN ISLAMIC CENTER

ABSTRAK
Sambas merupakan kota di Kalimantan Barat dengan budaya dan tradisi yang masih dilestarikan oleh masyarakat. Salahsatu cara melestarikan sebuah budaya ialah dengan melestarikan keberadaan rumah adat. Tujuan pelestarian budaya adalah untuk melestarikan nilai-nilai luhur budaya yang ada dalam tradisi, meskipun mengalami proses perubahan zaman. Konsep bangunan yang menerapkan budaya, pola pikir, kepercayaan, tata letak, dan religi tanpa meninggalkan kesan modern merupakan upaya melestarikan kebudayaan untuk saat ini. namun, perlu dipertimbangkan dalam penerapannya ke bangunan dengan fungsi khusus seperti
Islamic center karena ada beberapa hal yang bertentangan dengan fungsi bangunan tersebut, oleh sebab itu perancangan Islamic center ini mengambil tema Etnis Nusantara Modern, sebuah tema yang memadukan Arsitektur Kedaerahan dengan gaya Arsitektur saat ini seperti bentuk atap, motif khas dan material bangunan. Selain menerapkan tema dan konsep bangunan, perlu diperhatikan bahwa Kalimantan merupakan pulau di indonesa yang menjadi paru-paru dunia sehingga perlu dipertimbangkan untuk aspek lingkungan dalam perencanaannya. Mayoritas masyarakat Kalimantan barat memeluk agama Islam karena itu keberadaan Islamic
Center sangat dibutuhkan disana. Dengan adanya Islamic Center ini, diharapkan menyediakan fasilitas – fasilitas bagi masyarakat muslim untuk melakukan kegiatan yang berhubungan dengan agama islam.

ABSTRACT
Sambas is a city in West Kalimantan with a rich culture and traditions that are still preserved by the community. One way to preserve a culture is to preserve the existence of traditional houses. The purpose of cultural preservation is to preserve the noble values of culture that exist in tradition, even though they are undergoing a process of changing times. The concept of a building that applies culture, mindset, belief, layout, and religion without leaving a modern impression is an effort to preserve culture for now. However, it needs to be considered in its application to buildings with special functions such as Islamic centers, because there are several things that are contrary to the function of the building. Therefore, the design of this Islamic center takes the theme of modern Indonesian ethnicity, a theme that combines local architecture with current architectural styles such as the shape of the roof, distinctive motifs, and building materials. In addition to applying building themes and concepts, it should be noted that Kalimantan is an island in Indonesia that is the lungs of the world, so it is necessary to consider environmental aspects in its planning. The majority of the people of West Kalimantan embrace Islam, and because of that, the existence of an Islamic center is needed there. With this Islamic Center, it is hoped that it will provide facilities for the Muslim community to carry out activities related to the Islamic religion.
