Abstract
Living a healthy life to live a happy and prosperous old age is everyone's dream. A situation like this can only be achieved by a person if the person has a healthy regular lifestyle physically, mentally, and emotionally. Non-communicable diseases (NCDs) are currently predicted to increase in line with the lifestyle of urban communities nowadays. One of these non-communicable diseases, namely cardiovascular disease, is the largest contributor to mortality in the world. This disease should be prevented through early detection and control of risk factors such as hypertension. In the city of Bandung itself, the West Bandung area is the area with the lowest
coverage of examination and treatment in 2020. This is inversely proportional to the high estimated number of people with cardiovascular disease in this area which is a factor in choosing the location. With the presence of the Specialized Cardiovascular Hospital in the West Bandung area, it is to be hoped that the treatment of cardiovascular disease will be evenly distributed. The method used in this research is the application of the principle of Biophilic design in the health facility building of the Specialized Cardiovascular Hospital. This promotes the relationship between humans and nature through visual stimulants in architectural designs that have been proven to increase feelings of comfort, reduce stress, lower blood pressure and heart rate. It can be ascertained through the application of biophilic design as a health stimulant and well-being that aims to encourage the acceleration of physical and emotional health.
