PERANCANGAN BUKU EDUKASI ILUSTRASI TENTANG BURUNG MACAW SCARLET PARUH BENGKOK DI TAMAN BURUNG BANDUNG

Abstract

The scarlet macaw is one of the internationally protected birds, the scarlet macaw is declared a nearly extinct bird, because this bird is hunted by irresponsible (illegal) people, the scarlet macaw lives in Brazil where there are rainforests, but currently the macaw's habitat the scarlet has been damaged, so the eggs of the scarlet macaw cannot survive to hatch because the adult scarlet macaw has to find a new place to live, this is Brazil stated that the scarlet macaw must be protected and no one is allowed to keep the bird. However, in Indonesia, many people do not know that the scarlet macaw must be protected. children who often open social media, also don't know about this, and rarely do adults tell their children that this bird is almost extinct and must be protected. Knowledge about the scarlet macaw is very minimal in Indonesia, the lack of information about the scarlet macaw is one of the problems that affects the survival of the scarlet macaw. The lack of education about the importance of protecting scarlet macaws causes ignorance of nature. This study aims to provide education and information for children that the scarlet macaw does not look well. This research method uses literature studies from various sources, as well as data collection methods using digital questionnaire surveys and interviews with children as participants.

Abstrak
Burung Macaw Scarlet merupakan salah satu burung yang dilindungi secara Internasional, burung macaw scarlet dinyatakan burung hampir punah, dikarenakan burung ini banyak diburu oleh yang tidak bertanggung jawab (ilegal), macaw scarlet tinggal di negara Brazil dimana terdapatnya hutan hujan, namun saat ini habitat macaw scarlet telah dirusak, sehingga telur macaw scarlet tidak dapat bertahan hingga menetas dikarenakan macaw scarlet dewasa harus mencari tempat tinggal baru, hal ini Brazil menyatakan bahwa burung macaw scarlet harus dilindungi dan tidak ada yang boleh memelihara burung tersebut. Namun berita tersebut di Indonesia banyak yang belum mengetahuinya bahwa burung macaw scarlet harus dilindungi, hal ini disebabkan adanya penyebaran luas tentang burung macaw scarlet di dunia maya, sehingga menutupi kepunahan burung macaw scarlet dan banyak yang berpikiran burung macaw scarlet tidak terlihat punah, sehingga anak-anak yang sering membuka social media, ikut tidak tahu hal tersebut, dan jarang sekali ada orang dewasa yang memberi tahu anaknya bahwa burung ini
hampir punah dan harus dilindungi. Pengetahuan tentang burung macaw scarlet sangat minim di Indonesia, kurangnya informasi mengenai macaw scarlet menjadi salah satu permasalahan yang berpengaruh terhadap keberlangsungan hidup burung macaw scarlet. Minimnya edukasi mengenai pentingnya melindungi burung macaw scarlet menyebabkan ketidak pedulian alam. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memberi edukasi dan informasi bagi anak-anak bahwa burung macaw scarlet tidak terlihat baik-baik saja. Metode penelitian ini menggunakan studi literatur dari
