Abstract
Bandung is known as the center of culture and art in Indonesia, but does not yet have an adequate art building to accommodate the many art performance activities that exist. The absence of a representative facility is an obstacle in developing the potential of art in this city, therefore an adequate art performance building is needed for various art activities from the needs of artists and art lovers. The purpose of this research is to realize the design of a representative arts building by applying or implementing the concept of architectural origami to the roof and facade of the Lang Performing Arts Center design in Kota Baru Parahyangan. The qualitative method is used to conduct form exploration through origami to produce form, folding, and pattern by applying to the roof and facade of the Performing Arts Center building. The results of this research show that the concept of Origami Architecture can be applied including origami properties, namely form, folding, and pattern to the roof and facade of the Performing Arts Center building. Through the concept of Origami Architecture, the Performing Arts Center building becomes very interpretative of the performing arts building, iconic, and contrasts from the surrounding buildings.
