Abstract

Abstract
The rapid advancement of technology and shifting social dynamics have shaped distinctive characteristics in the Millennial and Generation Z cohorts. While both share a similar level of technological literacy and social awareness, they differ significantly in values, motivations, and the challenges they face. These differences create a demand for spaces that go beyond traditional design/spaces that are more interactive and adaptable to contemporary needs. Addressing this demand, youth-oriented commercial facilities are envisioned not only as economic hubs but also as venues for social interaction, entertainment, and productivity. This study employs a descriptive qualitative approach to gain an in-depth understanding of the user context and needs through literature review, observation, and documentation. The design proposal focuses on a youth facility adopting the Oasis Hub concept, integrating natural elements, aligning with cultural context, and ensuring functional as well as psychological relevance for its users. Key design features include rooftop gardens, open atriums, reflective pools, and the use of local materials, creating a social meeting point that also serves as a green space reinforcing sustainability identity. Located in Bojongsoang, Bandung Regency, the Oasis concept is further adapted to harmonize with the surrounding site conditions and the hot-humid tropical climate.
