IMPLEMENTASI TEMA ARSITEKTUR KONTEMPORER PADA RANCANGAN YOUTH HUB DI JALAN PAHLAWAN KOTA BANDUNG

Abstrak
Gaya hidup generasi muda yang terus berkembang secara dinamis menciptakan kebutuhan akan ruang publik yang fleksibel serta mampu mengakomodasi beragam aktivitas. Youth Hub menjadi salah satu konsep ruang yang dirancang untuk merespons kebutuhan tersebut secara langsung. Penelitian ini berfokus pada penerapan tema arsitektur kontemporer melalui pendekatan fleksibilitas fungsi dalam perancangan Youth Hub. Metode yang digunakan adalah deskriptif analitis dengan pendekatan kualitatif dan kuantitatif. Proses kajian mencakup studi literatur, observasi lokasi, studi preseden, serta analisis terhadap kebutuhan pengguna. Temuan dalam penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa fleksibilitas fungsi dapat diterapkan melalui perencanaan ruang yang terbuka, penggunaan elemen-elemen modular, serta pemilihan material dan bentuk yang memungkinkan ruang beradaptasi terhadap berbagai jenis aktivitas. Nilai-nilai arsitektur kontemporer yang menekankan pada adaptabilitas terhadap konteks dan kebutuhan pengguna menjadi dasar dalam perancangan. Dengan demikian, Youth Hub diharapkan dapat menghadirkan ruang alternatif yang tidak hanya estetis dan fungsional, tetapi juga inklusif dan mampu mendukung generasi muda untuk berinteraksi, berkreasi, serta mengembangkan potensi dalam satu wadah yang dinamis.

Abstract
The continuously evolving lifestyle of the younger generation creates a growing demand for flexible public spaces that can accommodate various activities. The Youth Hub is one such spatial concept designed to directly address these needs. This study focuses on the implementation of contemporary architectural themes through a functional flexibility approach in the design of a Youth Hub. The method used is descriptive-analytical, employing both qualitative and quantitative approaches. The research includes literature studies, site observations, precedent studies, and analysis of user needs. Findings indicate that functional flexibility can be achieved through open space planning, the use of modular elements, and the selection of materials and forms that allow spatial adaptability. Contemporary architectural values that emphasize adaptability to context and user needs serve as the foundation for the design. As a result, the Youth Hub is expected to offer an alternative space that is not only aesthetically pleasing and functional but also inclusive—supporting young people in interacting, creating, and developing their potential within a dynamic environment.
