Abstract

Abstract
Climate change, rapid urbanization, and environmental degradation are major challenges in developing public spaces, especially in urban and peri-urban areas such as Bojongsoang. This region faces increasing pressure on the availability of open spaces, environmental quality, and the need for facilities that support youth development. The youth center, as an educational, social, and recreational space, holds great potential in responding to these needs. This study aims to explore the application of the Resilient Nexus approach in the design of a youth center that is integrated with the urban landscape, as an adaptive solution to the contextual issues of the area. The research method used is descriptive qualitative, supported by literature studies and precedent analysis to identify principles of environmental resilience, spatial connectivity, and social sustainability. The findings show that implementing the Resilient Nexus strengthens the role of the youth center not only as a community facility but also as a catalyst for environmental restoration and a connector of urban landscapes. This research is expected to serve as a design foundation for youth centers that are not only responsive to the needs of younger generations but also contribute to building adaptive and resilient urban landscapes in areas like Bojongsoang.
