Abstract

Motorcycle touring has become a preferred mode of transportation for many riders on long distance journeys. However, the limited storage space on motorcycles often makes it difficult to carry essential gear. This study aims to design a functional and convenient storage solution for long-distance motorcycle touring riders by incorporating the aesthetic values of Kustom Kulture. The design methodology includes user needs analysis, design exploration based on Kustom Kulture, and material durability testing. The findings of this study indicate that the storage design is not only about capacity and user convenience but also reinforces personalization and cultural expression within the Kustom Kulture community. This innovation is expected to provide an effective solution for motorcycle touring riders to carry their gear without compromising the aesthetic appeal of their motorcycles, which emphasize the Kustom Kulture heritage.
