PENERAPAN PRINSIP PERMEABLE ARCHITECTURE PADA PERANCANGAN YOUTH FACILITIES DI KAWASAN DAGO KOTA BANDUNG

Abstrak
Beberapa tahun terakhir, perubahan gaya hidup generasi muda sangat dipengaruhi oleh perkembangan teknologi digital. Ketergantungan pada media sosial serta meningkatnya kenakalan remaja menjadi tantangan serius, terlebih dengan minimnya ruang fisik yang mendukung aktivitas remaja secara sehat dan positif. Di Kota Bandung, kondisi ini semakin terlihat nyata. Merespons situasi tersebut, penelitian ini merancang sebuah fasilitas kepemudaan dengan pendekatan Permeable Architecture, yakni prinsip arsitektur yang menitikberatkan pada keterbukaan ruang, sirkulasi alami, serta hubungan harmonis antara ruang dalam dan luar. Perancangan dilakukan melalui survei tapak, observasi langsung, dan penelaahan referensi yang relevan. Hasilnya, desain fasilitas yang diusulkan mampu menciptakan ruang yang terbuka, inklusif, dan mendorong partisipasi aktif remaja, baik secara fisik maupun sosial. Selain itu, keberadaan ruang semacam ini dinilai dapat mengurangi kecenderungan penggunaan gawai secara berlebihan serta memberikan alternatif sehat bagi generasi muda untuk mengekspresikan diri. Penelitian ini diharapkan memberi kontribusi nyata dalam perencanaan ruang publik yang adaptif terhadap kebutuhan remaja sekaligus memperkaya pendekatan desain arsitektur berbasis konteks sosial.

Abstract
In recent years, the lifestyle of young generations has been significantly influenced by the rapid development of digital technology. Dependence on social media and the rise of juvenile delinquency have become serious challenges, especially with the lack of physical spaces that support healthy and positive youth activities. In the city of Bandung, this condition has become increasingly evident. In response to this issue, this research proposes the design of a youth facility using the Permeable Architecture approach — an architectural principle that emphasizes spatial openness, natural circulation, and a harmonious relationship between interior and exterior spaces. The design process involves site surveys, direct observation, and a review of relevant references. The resulting facility design offers an open and inclusive environment that encourages active youth participation, both physically and socially. Furthermore, the existence of such space is considered to help reduce excessive gadget use and provide a healthy alternative for self-expression among the younger generation. This research aims to contribute meaningfully to the planning of public spaces that are adaptive to youth needs while enriching socially contextual architectural design approaches.
