PERANCANGAN YOUTH CENTER DENGAN PENDEKATAN ARSITEKTUR PERILAKU DI JL IR H JUANDA KOTA BANDUNG

Abstrak
Transformasi gaya hidup generasi muda di era digital menuntut keberadaan ruang publik yang adaptif, fleksibel, dan mampu merespons kebutuhan psikologis serta sosial mereka. Penelitian ini merancang Gaia Juanda Youth Center di kawasan Dago, Kota Bandung, dengan pendekatan Arsitektur Perilaku yang berfokus pada integrasi desain spasial terhadap aktivitas, interaksi sosial, dan kenyamanan pengguna. Metode yang digunakan adalah deskriptif kualitatif dengan analisis behavior setting, proxemics, psikologi lingkungan, dan place attachment. Hasil perancangan menunjukkan bahwa penerapan zonasi berbasis perilaku, organisasi massa berdasarkan hierarki aktivitas, serta desain fasad yang kontekstual dan adaptif dapat menciptakan ruang produktif yang mendukung kreativitas, kesehatan holistik, dan keterlibatan sosial generasi muda secara optimal. Youth Center ini tidak hanya menjadi ruang untuk berinteraksi dan berekspresi, tetapi juga sebagai medium arsitektur yang membentuk pengalaman emosional, identitas ruang, dan perilaku positif. Penelitian ini diharapkan dapat memberikan kontribusi nyata dalam pengembangan fasilitas publik yang lebih peka terhadap karakteristik generasi muda, serta menjadi acuan desain berbasis perilaku yang dapat diterapkan di berbagai kawasan urban serupa.

Abstract
The transformation of youth lifestyles in the digital era demands the presence of public spaces that are adaptive, flexible, and responsive to both psychological and social needs. This study presents the design of the Gaia Juanda Youth Center, located in the Dago area of Bandung City, using a Behavioral Architecture approach that focuses on the integration of spatial design with user activity, social interaction, and comfort. The method employed is descriptive qualitative, incorporating behavior setting analysis, proxemics, environmental psychology, and place attachment. The design results demonstrate that implementing behavior-based zoning, organizing building masses based on activity hierarchy, and applying contextual and adaptive façade strategies can create productive spaces that optimally support creativity, holistic well-being, and social engagement among youth. This youth center functions not only as a space for interaction and self-expression, but also as an architectural medium that fosters emotional experience, spatial identity, and positive behavior. The findings of this research are expected to contribute meaningfully to the development of public facilities that are more sensitive to the characteristics of younger generations, while offering a replicable behavior-based design reference for similar urban contexts.
