Abstract
The design of the Youth Culture Center on Jalan AH. Nasution, Bandung, applies a contemporary architectural approach that emphasizes form flexibility, spatial innovation, and strong integration with social and cultural contexts. The theme “Creative Space that Learns, Reacts, and Inspires” serves as the conceptual foundation, aiming to create a creative hub that adapts, responds to its surroundings, and inspires the younger generation. The design methodology includes literature studies to establish theoretical frameworks, site analysis to identify potential and constraints, and the application of parametric design methods to generate dynamic and innovative forms. Site analysis highlighted the need for an open, adaptive, and contextual building that responds to Bandung’s tropical climate. Accordingly, the façade adopts the concept of dynamic graphs symbolizing youth energy and growth, complemented by secondary skin elements that regulate natural lighting and ventilation. Furthermore, the internal spatial organization is designed to be flexible, with interactive circulation that encourages encounters, collaboration, and collective learning. Through this approach, the Youth Culture Center not only fulfills its functional role as a cultural hub but also emerges as an icon of contemporary architecture that fosters creativity and strengthens youth identity within the urban development of Bandung.
