Abstract
The young generation in Bandung is currently highly exposed to global popular culture through social media, digital entertainment, and international trends that shape a modern lifestyle. This condition creates the need for public spaces that can accommodate their dynamic, interactive, and expressive behavior. Architecture can respond to this need through designs that are sensitive to the characteristics of young people. The objective of this project is to present a Youth Cultural Center as a creative hub that remains relevant to contemporary developments, with an emphasis on the application of a dynamic façade through a behavioral architecture approach. The design method was carried out qualitatively through user behavior observation, reference analysis, and site context studies. The analysis revealed that young people prefer spatial and architectural forms that are flexible, organic, and capable of providing unique visual experiences. Accordingly, the facade was designed with curved shapes and irregular patterns that reflect energy and creativity while simultaneously evoking curiosity. Alumunium Composite Panel (ACP) was selected as the main material due to its lightweight properties, flexibility, ease of fabrication, and adaptability to tropical climates. The design outcomes emphasize that a dynamic façade is not merely an aesthetic element but also an architectural medium of communication that represents the behavior of the young generation. Therefore, the Youth Cultural Center is expected to become a new icon that is inclusive and relevant to the youth community of Bandung.
