Abstract

Abstract
Today’s youth are becoming increasingly disconnected from local culture. One of the causes is the lack of public spaces that can provide interactive and meaningful experiences.. Meanwhile, cultural preservation requires active participation from the community, particularly among the youth This final project proposes the design of a Youth Cultural Center in Bandung City, employing a narrative architecture approach. The folk tale of Sangkuriang is used as the narrative foundation to shape a spatial sequence that is immersive, educational, and rich in cultural values. The goal of this design is to create a cultural space that not only accommodates arts and community activities but also communicates local values through spatial experiences. The design process involves literature studies, site analysis, identification of narrative structure, and mapping the narrative into architectural elements. The result of this project is expected to demonstrate how architecture can act as a medium for cultural communication that is both relevant to the younger generation.
