Abstract

Abstract
The design of the Youth Cultural Center in the city of Bandung is present as a response to the need for cultural space for the younger generation, which is able to accommodate expressive activities while strengthening local identity. Through a hybrid architecture approach, the design combines elements of traditional Sundanese architecture with a touch of modern technology from high-tech architecture. The building is designed not only as a place of activity, but also as a symbolic space that represents cultural sustainability in the flow of globalization. The design process starts from site analysis, study of young user behavior, to exploration of architectural elements rooted in the local context. The hybrid concept is applied to aspects of mass, façade, interior, as well as structural elements such as ETFE roofs and interactive LED lighting systems. The novelty of design lies in the integration of culture and technology in the form of an inclusive, adaptive, and contextual space. The final result of this design is the design of the Youth Cultural Center which not only functions physically, but also becomes an educational and culturally representative medium for today's young generation.
