Abstract
The Youth Culture Center is designed as a platform for education and cultural expression among the younger generation, integrating local identity with contemporary innovation to create a relevant and sustainable space. Advances in architectural design technology have encouraged the emergence of new approaches in the design process, one of which is parametric architecture. This study explores the parametric architectural approach in designing the Youth Culture Center in Bandung, which incorporates local cultural values as the foundation of the design. Traditional crafts such as bamboo and rattan weaving, as well as the Megamendung batik motif, serve as inspirations for shaping building masses, façade patterns, and spatial configurations. This approach translates traditional patterns into digital geometries that are flexible and responsive to spatial needs and site regulations. The design outcomes demonstrate that parametric methods can produce expressive, adaptive, and contextual architecture without losing cultural meaning. These findings are expected to serve as a reference for implementing design technologies that uphold local wisdom. Thus, the Youth Culture Center design is anticipated to contribute to strengthening the local cultural ecosystem while fostering dialogue between contemporary architecture and traditional heritage.
