PENERAPAN ARSITEKTUR TRADISIONAL SUNDA PADA PERENCANAAN CONVENTION DAN EXHIBITION CENTER DI KOTA BARU PARAHYANGAN

Abstract

ABSTRAK
Kebutuhan akan fasilitas komersial di Kota Bandung menjadi hal yang sangat penting guna
mewadahi peningkatan aktivitas masyarakatnya. Salah satu fasilitas komersial yang dibutuhkan
adalah Convention and Exhibition Center. Pertemuan dan pemasaran adalah kegiatan masyarakat
yang sangat penting dalam berinteraksi satu sama lain secara berkelompok, berbagi informasi dan
pendapat, serta promosi. Oleh karena itu perlunya di bangun fasilitas Convention and Exhibition
Center di kota bandung khususnya di Kota Baru Parahyangan dengan konsep Arsitektur Tradisional
Sunda sekaligus sebagai bentuk pelestarian budaya atau adat istiadat yang ada di jawa barat
khususnya di Kota Bandung itu sendiri. Desain perancangan yang diterapkan, mengacu pada
pendalaman studi tentang filosofi, tatanan masa, dan tipologi bentuk rumah hunian masyarakat sunda
lalu di re-interpretasikan terhadap fungsi lain yaitu Convention and Exhibition Center. Penyesuaian
ini difokuskan pada bentuk, fungsi ruang, ukuran massa bangunan, material, serta perletakan dan
arah massa bangunan.

ABSTRACT
Daily needs for commercial facilities in the city of Bandung is very important to accommodate the
increase in community activities. One of the commercial facilities we needed is the Convention and
Exhibition Center. Meetings and marketing are very important community activities in interacting
with each other in groups, sharing information, opinions and promotions. Therefore, it is necessary to
build a Convention and Exhibition Center facility in the city of Bandung, especially in Kota Baru
Parahyangan with the concept of Traditional Sundanese Architecture as well as a form of preserving
culture in West Java, especially culture in the city of Bandung. The design applied refers to a
deepening of the study of philosophy, mass order, and typology of the form of Sundanese residential
houses and then reinterpreted into another function. This adjustment is focused on the form, function
of space, size of the building mass, materials, placement, and direction of the building mass.
