PERANCANGAN BUKU ILUSTRASI “TRADISI MOCI TEGAL" UNTUK REMAJA USIA 13-15 TAHUN

The Moci Tegal culture has received little attention and appreciation from the community, especially from young people aged 13 to 15 years old. There are still very few media outlets discussing the identity of Tegal, and those that do exist are often ineffective and inefficient. The aim of this research is to design an illustrative book on Tegal's Moci culture with visually appealing styles to attract the audience's attention, reintroducing the Moci Tegal culture and educating about its history and philosophical values. The research method applied in this study is a qualitative approach, using case studies, document analysis, and literature review. Data collection involves information related to the Moci Tegal culture. The result of this design is an illustrative book with a visual narrative approach and creative storytelling strategies. With the illustrative book serving as an educational medium on the Moci Tegal culture, it is hoped to increase knowledge and interest among young generations to appreciate and preserve their local culture.

Abstrak
“Tradisi Moci Tegal” kurang mendapat perhatian dan apresiasi dari masyarakat terutama generasi muda usia 13 – 15 tahun. Media yang membahas tentang identitas dari Tegal ini masih sangat sedikit serta kurang efektif dan efisien. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah merancang buku ilustrasi “Tradisi Moci Tegal” dengan gaya visual yang menarik perhatian audiens sehingga mampu mengenalkan kembali tentang “Tradisi Moci Tegal” dan mengedukasi tentang sejarah serta nilai filosofisnya. Metode penelitian yang diterapkan dalam studi ini adalah pendekatan kualitatif, melalui penggunaan studi kasus, analisis dokumen, dan studi literatur. Pengumpulan data melibatkan informasi yang berkaitan dengan “Tradisi Moci Tegal”. Hasil dari perancangan ini adalah buku ilustrasi dengan pendekatan narasi visual serta strategi kreatif storytelling. Dengan adanya buku ilustrasi sebagai media edukasi tentang “Tradisi Moci Tegal” diharapkan dapat menambah pengetahuan dan ketertarikan pada generasi muda untuk mengapresiasi dan melestarikan Tradisi lokal mereka.
