PERANCANGAN BUKU CERITA BERGAMBAR SEBAGAI MEDIA EDUKASI MENGENAI GANGGUAN KEPRIBADIAN AMBANG (BPD)

Borderline Personality Disorder (BPD) is a mental disorder characterized by difficulty in controlling emotions, unstable mood, excessive anxiety, fear of abandonment, feelings of worthlessness, impulsive behavior, and problems in social relationships. This research aims to design a storybook as an educational and informational medium about BPD. The study is expected to benefit by presenting visual information through illustrated storybooks to recognize the characteristics and challenges faced by patients, aiming to increase awareness, support, and reduce public stigma. The methods used in this research include qualitative interviews and Design Thinking. Interviews were conducted with a psychologist, two BPD patient, and individuals acquainted with someone with BPD, and psychologists to understand the impact of the disorder from various points of view. Hopefuly this book can provide better awareness and understanding of Borderline Personality Disorder to the public.

Abstrak
Gangguan Kepribadian Ambang (BPD) adalah gangguan mental yang ditandai dengan kesulitan mengendalikan emosi, suasana hati yang tidak stabil, kecemasan berlebihan, takut ditinggalkan, perasaan tidak berharga, perilaku impulsif, dan masalah dalam hubungan sosial. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk merancang buku cerita sebagai media edukasi dan informasi tentang BPD. Penelitian ini diharapkan dapat memberikan manfaat berupa penyajian informasi visual melalui buku cerita bergambar untuk mengenali karakteristik dan rintangan yang dihadapi oleh penderita untuk meningkatkan kesadaran, dukungan, dan mengurangi stigma publik. Metode yang digunakan pada penelitian ini adalah wawancara kualitatif serta Design Thinking, wawancara dilakukan kepada seorang psikolog, 2 penderita BPD, dan individu yang menjalin hubungan dengan penderita untuk memahami dampak penyakit tersebut dari berbagai Point of View. Sebagai harapan, buku ini dapat memberikan kesadaran dan pemahaman yang lebih baik kepada masyarakat mengenai Gangguan Kepribadian Ambang.
