Abstract

Neurodiversity is an understanding or concept that refers to neurodiversity, be it Bipolar, Dyslexia, Autism, to Schizophrenia, which needs to be valued, protected, and fulfilled rights in the social environment. The design was carried out in order to find out the influence between interactive illustration books to introduce neurodiversity in inclusive learning in college by knowing the empathy of the academic community towards neurodivergent thinking in the campus environment. This is done because the environment or atmosphere of higher education cannot be said to be inclusive on the grounds that there are still many academicians who have not fulfilled the rights of neurodivergent thinking by understanding, empathizing, and helping them. The design is done by first researching neurodiversity and then designing it into an interactive illustration book for the academic community in college so that empathy can arise and they are able to understand neurodivergent. The results of the questionnaire distribution stated that many respondents were willing to read an interactive illustration book for inclusive learning about neurodiversity in college with the condition that the content must be interesting and light and easy to understand, especially discussing mental health issues.
