Abstract
Art, in its essence, is a culture passed down through generations, shaping identity, values, and collective expression within society. However, the advancement of technology and digitalization has altered how the younger generation accesses and appreciates art. The ease of consuming digital information has resulted in a decline in interest toward direct art experiences. In this context, the design of a Youth Culture Center aims to revive art appreciation with an approach suited to the characteristics of the digital generation. The concept of metaphors is used as the foundation for the design, reflecting the perfection of nature's designs and the behavior of living organisms in communicating and expressing themselves with their environment. This is specifically translated through the adaptive nature of a chameleon, where the atmosphere of the space changes in response to the dynamics of activities within. A visual-oriented approach is applied to strengthen the emotional connection between users and the space through narrative elements. The research methodology employs a qualitative descriptive approach, using literature studies, case study analysis, and observation of user behavior. The design output envisions creating a space where individuals can grow, express art, and serve as a facilitator for cultural exchange in the ever-evolving digital era.
