Perencanaan Distribusi Produk Kasur Springbed Menggunakan Metode Distribution Requirement Planning (DRP) di PT XYZ

Abstrak

PT. XYZ is a company engaged in the distribution or agent of springbed mattresses located in the city of Bandung. The current condition of the company does not have a well-integrated distribution plan, so the product distribution process is not optimal. Companies must be able to overcome the problem of excess and shortage of products that cause a bending in the company's storage costs and shipping costs. The purpose of this study is to plan the distribution of springbed mattress products and minimize the distribution costs of springbed mattress products. The problems in this study can be solved using the Distribution Requirement Planning (DRP) method and assisted by lot sizing Economic Order Quantity (EOQ), Lot For Lot (LFL), Least Unit Cost (LUC) and Least Total Cost (LTC) techniques to determine the order quantity. The results showed that distribution planning using the DRP method with a measure of the least total cost (LTC) order quantity can minimize distribution costs with a difference of Rp.12.054.218 or with a percentage of 73% of the company method used today.

Abstrak

PT. XYZ merupakan perusahan yang bergerak pada bidang distribusi atau agen kasur springbed yang berlokasi di kota Bandung. Kondisi saat ini perusahaan belum mempunyai perencanaan distribusi yang terintegrasi dengan baik, sehingga proses pendistribusian produk menjadi tidak optimal. Perusahaan harus mampu mengatasi permasalahan kelebihan dan kekurangan produk yang menyebabkan pembengkakkan pada biaya simpan dan biaya pengiriman perusahaan. Tujuan penelitian ini yaitu merencanakan aktivitas pendistribusian produk kasur springbed dan meminimasi biaya distribusi produk kasur springbed. Permasalahan dalam penelitian ini dapat diselesaikan dengan menggunakan metode Distribution Requirement Planning (DRP) dan dibantu dengan teknik lot sizing Economic Order Quantity (EOQ), Lot For Lot (LFL), Least Unit Cost (LUC) dan Least Total Cost (LTC) untuk menentukan kuantitas pemesanan nya. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa perencanaan distribusi menggunakan metode DRP dengan ukuran kuantitas pemesanan Least Total Cost (LTC) dapat meminimalkan biaya distribusi dengan selisih sebesar Rp.12.054.218 atau dengan persentase 73% dari metode perusahaan yang digunakan saat ini.
