USULAN PENGENDALIAN PENGADAAN BARANG MENGGUNAKAN METODE ECONOMIC ORDER QUANTITY (EOQ) DI PT XYZ

Abstrak

PT XYZ is a company engaged in manufacturing. One of the existing divisions is the heavy equipment division. The existing inventory system in the heavy equipment division is still considered less than optimal because the inventory of some consumable goods still often experiences shortages and even runs out of stock. The EOQ method is an approach to determine the number of goods that must be ordered to be able to meet demand at a minimized cost. The problem that occurs can be solved using the EOQ method. Based on the calculation results using the EOQ method, more optimal results are obtained than company policies. The EOQ method can reduce inventory costs to IDR 2,621,639.46, order quantity to 59 pcs, fewer order frequency to 4 times, and reorder points at 26 pcs. Based on the results obtained, the use of the EOQ method can overcome the problems that occur in the inventory system in the heavy equipment division.

PT XYZ merupakan perusahaan yang bergerak dibidang manufaktur. Salah satu divisi yang ada yaitu divisi alat berat. Sistem persediaan yang ada pada divisi alat berat dirasa masih kurang optimal karena pada persediaan beberapa barang consumable masih sering mengalami kekurangan bahkan kehabisan stok. Metode EOQ merupakan pendekatan untuk menentukan jumlah barang yang harus dipesan untuk bisa memenuhi permintaan dengan biaya yang diminimalkan. Permasalahan yang terjadi dapat diselesaikan dengan menggunakan metode EOQ.Berdasarkan hasil perhitungan dengan menggunakan metode EOQ, didapatkan hasil yang lebih optimal dari pada kebijakan perusahaan. Metode EOQ dapat menekan inventory cost menjadi Rp 2.621.639,46, kuantitas pemesanan menjadi lebih banyak 59 pcs, frekuensi pemesanan lebih sedikit menjadi 4 kali, dan reorder point pada titik 26 pcs.Berasarkan hasil yang didapat, penggunaan metode EOQ dapat mengatasi pemasalahan yang terjadi pada sistem persediaan di divisi alat berat.
