Pengembangan Website Prodi Informatika Di UPT-TIK Institut XYZ Menggunakan Framework Laravel 8

Abstrak

In the modern era with the rapid advancement of information systems, the utilization of information technology has permeated various sectors, ranging from business to education. One common implementation of information systems is through the use of websites, providing quick and accurate access to information for the general public. However, some companies, including UPT TIK Institut XYZ, have not fully maximized the potential of information systems. UPT TIK Institut XYZ has adopted information technology in certain aspects, such as academic information systems and campus management. Nevertheless, some systems, like separate websites for academic programs from the main campus website, have not been optimally developed. For instance, the Informatics program lacks a dedicated information system website with sufficiently detailed information, leading to the dissemination of inaccurate information. To address this issue, the company aims to create a separate information system for the Informatics program, managed directly by the faculty to ensure information accuracy. UPT TIK Institut XYZ has developed a website for the Informatics program's information system, covering program details, faculty data, curriculum information, organizational structure, and news. The project utilizes Laravel 8 framework with the Model-View-Controller (MVC) concept for a more structured programming approach.

Dalam era modern dengan kemajuan sistem informasi yang pesat, penggunaan teknologi informasi telah merambah berbagai sektor, mulai dari bisnis hingga pendidikan. Salah satu implementasi umum dari sistem informasi adalah melalui penggunaan website, yang memberikan kemudahan akses informasi kepada masyarakat dengan cepat dan akurat. Meskipun demikian, beberapa perusahaan, termasuk UPT TIK Institut XYZ, masih belum memanfaatkan sistem informasi secara maksimal. UPT TIK XYZ telah mengadopsi teknologi informasi dalam beberapa aspek, seperti sistem informasi akademik dan pengelolaan kampus. Namun, beberapa sistem, seperti website program studi yang terpisah dari website utama kampus, belum optimal dibangun. Sebagai contoh, prodi Informatika belum memiliki website sistem informasi yang menyediakan informasi yang cukup detail, mengakibatkan penyebaran informasi yang tidak akurat. Untuk mengatasi permasalahan ini, perusahaan menginginkan pembuatan sistem informasi program studi Informatika yang terpisah, dikelola langsung oleh pihak fakultas untuk memastikan keakuratan informasi. UPT TIK Institut XYZ menciptakan website sistem informasi program studi Informatika, mencakup informasi prodi, data dosen, kurikulum, struktur organisasi, dan berita. Proyek ini menggunakan framework Laravel 8 dengan konsep MVC (Model, View, Controller) untuk pemrograman yang lebih terstruktur.
