USULAN PERBAIKAN KUALITAS DENGAN MENGGUNAKAN METODE FAILURE MODE AND EFFECT ANALYSIS DAN FAULT TREE ANALYSIS

Salah satu Konveksi di daerah Terusan Buah Batu Bandung merupakan perusahan yang bergerak pada bidang pembuatan produk pakaian dan penjualan retail produk. Permasalahan yang terdapat pada konveksi tersebut yaitu produk cacat yang dihasilkan masih diatas toleransi perusahaan yaitu sebesar 1%. Dalam mengantisipasi kekurangan produk yang akan dikirim ke konsumen, perusahaan selalu mengeluarkan biaya tambahan membuat produk untuk mengatasi jumlah produk cacat tersebut. Apabila hal ini terus terjadi maka akan mengakibatkan kerugian bagi perusahaan. Hal ini perlu dilakukan upaya mengidentifikasi penyebab cacat tersebut agar dapat mengurangi kerugian perusahaan. Permasalahan tersebut dapat diselesaikan dengan mengidentifikasi setiap proses jenis kegagalan dengan menggunakan FMEA (Failure Mode and Effect Analysis). Berdasarkan hasil pengolahan dengan metoda FMEA tersebut selanjutnya dilakukan analisis jenis cacat dengan menggunakan metode FTA (Fault Tree Analysis) untuk mengetahui akar penyebabnya. Berdasarkan akar pemsalahan tersebut lalu diusulkan perbaikan yang dapat mengurangi jumlah cacat, sehingga dapat menekan kerugian yang dialami oleh perusahaan.

One of the convections in the Bandung Buah Batu area is a company engaged in the manufacture of clothing products and product retail sales. The problem that exists in the convection is that the defective product produced is still above the company's tolerance, which is 1%. In anticipating the shortage of products to be sent to consumers, the company always incurs additional costs to make products to overcome the number of defective products. If this continues, it will result in losses for the company. It is necessary to identify the cause of the defect in order to reduce the company's losses. These problems can be solved by identifying each process type of failure using FMEA (Failure Mode and Effect Analysis). Based on the results of processing with the FMEA method, an analysis of the types of defects is then carried out using the FTA (Fault Tree Analysis) method to determine the root cause. Based on the root of the problem, then proposed improvements that can reduce the number of defects, so as to reduce the losses experienced by the company.
