PENERAPAN PRINSIP DESAIN ARSITEKTUR KONTEMPORER PADA RANCANGAN APARTEMEN DI KOTA TASIKMALAYA

Kota Tasikmalaya merupakan kota paling besar dan penting di wilayah selatan Provinsi Jawa Barat, sekitar 70% pusat bisnis, pusat perdagangan, pusat pendidikan, dan industri yang ada di priangan timur berada di Kota Tasikmalaya. Pertumbuhan penduduk yang pesat dan meningkatnya perekonomian suatu daerah akan menarik banyak potensi pendatang untuk menetap, bekerja, ataupun menempuh pendidikan. Pembangunan apartemen diharapkan dapat meningkatkan produktivitas dan juga efisiensi masyarakat dalam berkegiatan khususnya di Kota Tasikmalaya. Mengusung tema arsitektur kontemporer, konsep ini mengutamakan kebebasan berekspresi dan open space dengan penggunaan material modern dengan biaya perawatan yang rendah. Dengan adanya pandemi Covid-19 keberlangsungan aktivitas penghuni menjadi terbatas, maka perlunya pengaplikasian protokol kesehatan serta adaptasi terhadap kebiasaan baru atau yang biasa disebut dengan new normal. Metode yang digunakan pada penelitian ini yaitu metode deskriptif kualitatif, dikarenakan menghasilkan data deskripsi berupa makna dari tema yang diterapkan pada bangunan yang dirancang. Tujuan dari proyek ini yaitu membuat desain apartemen dengan menerapkan unsur arsitektur kontemporer pada desain bangunannya. Maka dari itu rancangan yang dihasilkan berupa bentuk bangunan yang respon terhadap site, taman open space dan roof garden sebagai area komunal, pemilihan material terbarukan yang bersifat low maintenance, serta pengaplikasian fasad transparan guna mengoptimalkan pencahayaan alami dalam bangunan.

Abstract
The city of Tasikmalaya is the largest and most important city in the southern region of West Java Province, about 70% of business centers, trade centers, education centers, and industries in eastern Priangan are in Tasikmalaya City. Rapid population growth and the increasing economy of a region will attract many potential migrants to settle, work, or study. Apartment construction is expected to increase productivity and efficiency of the community in carrying out activities, especially in the City of Tasikmalaya. Carrying the theme of contemporary architecture, this concept prioritizes freedom of expression and open space with the use of modern materials with low maintenance costs. With the Covid-19 pandemic, the continuity of residents' activities has become limited, so it is necessary to apply health protocols and adapt to new habits or what is commonly called the new normal. The method used in this research is descriptive qualitative method, because it produces descriptive data in the form of the meaning of the theme applied to the designed building. The purpose of this project is to design an apartment by applying contemporary architectural elements to the building design. Therefore, the resulting design is in the form of a building that is responsive to the site, an open space garden and a roof garden as a communal area, the selection of renewable materials that are low maintenance, and the application of a transparent facade to optimize natural lighting in the building.
