Penerapan Desain Modern vernacular pada Bangunan Labda Parahyangan Exhibition Di Kota Baru Parahyangan

Abstract

ABSTRAK
Di awal milenium baru, di era perkembangan teknologi dan globalisasi yang pesat, arsitektur vernakular masih
berada pada posisi marginal. Hal ini sebagian besar diabaikan dalam desain dan kegunaan pada arsitektural ,
dan pengakuan atas keterampilan pembangun lokal di dunia masih terbatas. Dalam menghadapi penyangkalan
terus-menerus akan pentingnya arsitektur vernakular, di abad ke-21 ini pertanyaan tentang fungsi dan
signifikansi masih bergulir. Penerapan konsep modern vernacular pada disain untuk menunjukkan bahwa
pendekatan semacam itu akan memungkinkan implementasi aktif pengetahuan vernakular dalam konteks
kontemporer, dan akan menunjukkan bahwa masih ada tempat untuk berkembangnya arsitektur vernakular.
Penerapan vernacular modern pada Labda Parahyangan Exhibition (LPE) dalam bentukan bangunan
traditional adat sunda dengan penggabungan material lokal pada fasad bangunan dan bentukan interior
kontemporer diterapkan pada alur sirkulasi yang dapat mengurangi adanya kerumunan berlebih pada era
pandemi covid-19. Penerapan konsep tersebut diharapkan menjadi keselarasan antar desain traditional dengan
kegunaan bangunan eksibisi dan konferensi yang dapat menjadikan LPE sebagai bangunan yang interaktif serta
mencerminkan tempat, budaya sunda di kota baru parahyangan.

ABSTRACT
At the beginning of the new millennium, in the era of rapid technological development and globalization,
vernacular architecture is still in a marginal position. This is largely overlooked in architectural design and
usability, and recognition of the skills of local builders in the world is still limited. In the face of persistent denial
of the importance of vernacular architecture, questions about its function and significance in the 21st century
have arisen. Place of vernacular architecture in the 21st century. The reason the author takes the modern
concept of vernacular is to show that such an approach will enable the active implementation of vernacular
knowledge in contemporary contexts, and will show that there is still a place for vernacular architecture in the
twenty-first century. The application of vernacular moderation at the Labda Parahyangan Exhibition (LPE)
applies the formation of traditional Sundanese buildings by incorporating Sundanese traditional house materials
on the building facade and contemporary interior formations that are applied to circulation flows that can
reduce excess crowds during the COVID-19 pandemic. By applying the modern vernacular concept, it is hoped
that there will be harmony between traditional designs and the use of exhibition and conference buildings that
can become LPE as interactive buildings and reflect the place and culture of the new city of Parahyangan.
