Abstract

PT. XYZ is striving to enhance production efficiency to avoid delivery delays and penalty costs. In the production process of elementary school uniforms, there is wastage due to non-value- added activities, material accumulation, and waiting times. Uneven workload distribution and irregular workstations impact customer satisfaction. The use of VALUE STREAM MAPPING(VSM) aids in identifying waste and process constraints. VSM analysis reveals four types of waste, including inventory, motion, waiting, and transportation. The proposed improvement involves implementing the 5S concept at specific workstations. As a result, the percentage of value added for certain activities in the future state VSM increases by 21%, indicating the potential for increased company productivity.

Abstrak

PT. XYZ berupaya meningkatkan efisiensi produksinya guna menghindari ketrlambatan pengiriman dan biaya pinalti. Pada proses produksi seragam sekolah dasar menggalami pemborosan akibat aktivitas non-value added, penumpukan bahan, dan adanya waktu tunggu. Terdapat kurangnya pemerataan beban pekerjaan dan ketidakteraturan stasiun kerja, mempengaruhi kepuasan pelanggan. Penggunaan Value Stream Mapping (VSM) membantu mengidentifikasi waste dan kendala dalam proses. Analisis VSM mengungkapkan 4 jenis waste, termasuk waste inventory, motion, waiting, dan transportation. Solusi perbaikan melibatkan konsep 5S pada stasiun kerja tertentu. Hasilnya, persentase value added untuk beberapa aktivitas pada VSM future state meningkat sebesar 21%, menunjukkan potensi peningkatan produktivitas perusahaan.
