ABSTRACT
Oil and gas is one of the most abundant natural resources in Indonesia. Most of its oil and gas businesses are supported by pipelines as a medium of distribution and transportation. The distribution of oil and gas undersea pipelines is usually referred to as an offshore pipeline. Failures in the offshore pipeline transportation system are caused by several factors, including dent pipelines, leaking, rupture, and other failures. Based on the DNV-RP-F107 standard "Risk Assessment Of Pipline Protection", hazard identification that may occur in underwater gas pipelines is a danger - danger caused by anchor fall (dropped anchor), dragged anchor, hit by a ship (sinking vessel), and dragged net (trawling activities). With this standard, the level of risk is determined in the risk matrix which is grouped into three regions, namely, acceptable areas, ALARP (As Low As Reasonably Practicable) areas and unacceptable areas.
