USULAN PENANGANAN WASTE PROSES PENGIRIMAN BIJI KAKAO MENGGUNAKAN LEAN DISTRIBUTION PADA PENGEPUL DI KABUPATEN BATANG JAWA TENGAH

Abstrak

Cocoa is the main commodity in the chocolate industry, cocoa commodity companies generally sell cocoa in the form of seeds or powder. The problem that occurs is the existence of waste in the delivery distribution system for cocoa bean collectors in Batang Regency, Central Java. As a result of the existence of activities that do not have added value which will affect product delivery times and cause lead times to be large. NVA (non-value added) activities can be found in the distribution system of cocoa beans. The use of VALSAT will also help in this study for the output of the seven waste questionnaires and selecting the tools to be used next. The purpose of this research is to increase the efficiency of the distribution system of cocoa beans, to obtain optimal distribution time and reduce waste. The lead time obtained by collectors is 217 minutes on existing conditions and the final lead time is 170 minutes on future conditions. Kakao merupakan komoditas utama dalam industri cokelat, perusahaan komoditas kakao umumnya menjual kakao dalam bentuk biji atau bubuk. Permasalahan yang terjadi adalah adanya pemborosan pada sistem distribusi pengiriman pengepul biji kakao yang ada di Kabupaten Batang, Jawa Tengah. Akibat dari adanya aktivitas yang tidak memiliki nilai tambah yang nantinya akan berpengaruh kepada waktu pengiriman produk dan menyebabkan lead time menjadi besar. Aktivitas NVA (non value added) dapat dijumpai pada sistem distribusi biji kakao. Penggunaan VALSAT juga akan membantu dalam penelitian ini untuk output dari kuesioner 7 waste dan memilih tools yang akan digunakan selanjutnya. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah meningkatkan efisiensi sistem distribusi biji kakao, sehingga mendapatkan waktu distribusi yang optimal dan mengurangi pemborosan (waste). Lead time yang didapatkan pengepul sebesar 217 menit pada kondisi eksisting dan mendapatkan lead time akhir sebesar 170 menit pada kondisi future.
