ABSTRACT
The amount of mold temperature in the Injection Molding process greatly affects the results of the material to be made both visually and mechanically. In this study, the composite materials used were Polypropylene High Impact (PPHI) and natural fiber from pineapple leaves with a volume fraction of 20%. This study aims to determine the ideal mold temperature for shringkage defects and sink marks based on temperature variations used, namely 50⁰C, 60⁰C, 70⁰C, and 80⁰C using a simulation application on Solidworks with Plastic simulation features and the manufacturing process using Injection Molding Hand-Press using the ideal mold temperature. based on simulation results. From the results of research conducted, the ideal mold temperature both based on simulation results and visual production results is at a temperature of 50⁰C.
