USULAN PERBAIKAN TATA LETAK PENYIMPANAN PRODUK PADA WAREHOUSE DENGAN METODE DEDICATED STORAGE PADA XYZ

Abstrak

XYZ is a Small and Medium Enterprises engaged in supplying raw materials and
construction materials. There are various types of products at this company such as mild steel, hollow iron, stirrup iron, iron pipe, iron plate, and various construction material needs. Currently XYZ is still experiencing problems in its warehousing section due to product storage being placed based on free space. Therefore, a redesign of the product storage layout was carried out using the dedicated storage method to make it easier for the product search process. There were 3 alternative designs carried out in this study with the results of alternative 1 design being selected as the best design compared to other designs. XYZ merupakan sebuah Usaha Kecil Menengah (UKM) yang bergerak dibidang supplier bahan baku dan material konstruksi. Terdapat berbagai jenis produk pada perusahaan ini seperti baja ringan, besi hollow, besi behel, pipa besi, besi plat, dan berbagai kebutuhan material konstruksi. Saat ini XYZ masih mengalami permasalahan pada bagian pergudangannya dikarenakan penyimpanan produk yang diletakan berdasarkan ruang yang kosong. Oleh karena itu dilakukan perancangan ulang tata letak penyimpanan produk dengan metode dedicated storage agar memudahkan dalam proses pencarian produk. Terdapat 3 rancangan alternatif yang dilakukan pada penelitian ini dengan hasil rancangan alternatif 1 terpilih sebagai rancangan yang terbaik dibandingkan dengan rancangan lain.
