PENERAPAN LEAN MANUFACTURING UNTUK MEMINIMASI WASTE PADA PROSES PRODUKSI VEST RAJUT DI PT XYZ

Manufacturing industries implement the principles of Lean Manufacturing to meet customer needs by enhancing production efficiency, quality, and flexibility. Tools and techniques in Lean Manufacturing can identify and eliminate various types of waste, such as overproduction, defects, unnecessary inventory, unnecessary motion, transportation, overprocessing, and waiting. The process of identifying and eliminating waste involves using operation process charts, value stream mapping waste model assessment, VALSAT, and the 5 Why's method. Based on research findings, the dominant wastes in the production process are defects, waiting, and unnecessary inventory. To eliminate waste, one of the mapping tools in VALSAT is utilized. As a result of the analysis and recommended improvements, the lead time has reduced by 5 days and 15 minutes. Additionally, the analysis using Process Activity Mapping (PAM) has led to a reduction in non -value-added (NVA) activities from 12 days and 30 minutes to 7 days. Industri manufaktur menerapkan prinsip dari Lean Manufacturing untuk mencapai kebutuhan pelanggan dengan meningkatkan efisiensi, kualitas, dan fleksibilitas produksi. Tools dan teknik pada lean manufacturing dapat mengidentifikasi dan mengeliminasi berbagai waste, seperti overproduction, defect, unnecessary inventory, unnecessary motion, transportaition, overprocessing, dan waiting. Proses dalam mengidentifikasi dan mengeliminasi waste digunakan operation process chart, value stream mapping waste model assesment, VALSAT, dan 5 Why’s method. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, waste dominan dalam proses produksi adalah defect, waiting, dan unnecessary inventory. Untuk menghilangkan waste, digunakan salah satu mapping tools di VALSAT. Dari hasil analisis rekomendasi perbaikan, lead time berkurang selama 5 hari 15 menit. Dari analisis menggunakan PAM, terjadi pengurangan aktivitas non value added (NVA) dari 12 hari 30 menit menjadi 7 hari. Kata kunci: lean, produksi, VALSAT, PAM.
